Marko Urošev

Research Associate

Marko Urošev is a Research Associate at the Geographical Institute “Jovan Cvijić” of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA), within the Department of Physical Geography, where his research focuses on hydrology. His expertise encompasses the analysis of multi-year runoff variability, intra-annual runoff distribution, catchment runoff modelling, water balance, and river sediment transport. His research focuses on the spatial and temporal distribution of runoff, with particular emphasis on the statistical analysis of extreme hydrological events. His work applies probability theory and statistical methods to gain deeper insights into the processes governing the formation of mean, low, and high flows. His main scientific contributions are in the fields of statistical analysis of floods and hydrological droughts, estimation of flood flows in ungauged catchments, and the investigation of anthropogenic impacts on hydrological regimes. Research Interests: Stochastic hydrology, extreme hydrological events, catchment runoff modelling.
