Dragana Milijašević Joksimović

Dragana Milijašević Joksimović is a Senior Research Associate at the Geographical Institute “Jovan Cvijić” SASA, within the field of physical geography, where she conducts research in hydrology.

Her expertise includes physical geography, hydrological processes, and surface water quality. Her research focuses on the analysis of water systems and the interactions between natural and anthropogenic factors, with particular emphasis on the spatial and temporal variability of water quality and river regimes.

In her work, she applies quantitative, statistical, and spatial (geographical) methods in order to achieve a deeper understanding of hydrological processes and the condition of aquatic ecosystems.

Her most significant scientific contributions are in the field of surface water quality assessment, as well as in the study of river regime variability and sustainable water resource management, including their role in tourism and regional development.
