Suzana Lović Obradović

Senior Research Associate

Suzana Lović Obradović is a Senior Research Associate at the Geographical Institute “Jovan Cvijić” of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Department of Cartography, where her research focuses on human geography. Her expertise encompasses spatial demography, medical geography, and the spatial patterns of international and internal migration. Her research focuses on the spatial differentiation of population characteristics and demographic processes in Serbia, with particular emphasis on the local level (municipalities and settlements). Her work involves GIS-based spatial analysis, as well as quantitative and statistical methods, with the aim of gaining a deeper understanding of the spatial dimensions of demographic phenomena and processes. Her main scientific contributions are in the field of spatial demography, particularly in the analysis of the spatial variability of demographic phenomena and processes, complex relationships between the physical-geographical and socio-economic characteristics of geographical areas and demographic patterns, as well as spatial inequalities in cause-specific mortality.
