Teodora Popović

Research Associate

Dr Teodora Popović is a Research Associate at the Geographical Institute “Jovan Cvijić” Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, within the Physical Geography Department, where she conducts research in the field of geography—specifically physical geography, or more precisely, biogeography. Her expertise encompasses species distribution modeling. Her research focuses on assessing the impacts of climate change on the distribution and conservation of birds. In her work, she employs quantitative, statistical, comparative, and spatial methods using softwares such as MaxEnt, R, and QGIS, with the aim of gaining a deeper understanding of trends and expected spatial distribution patterns influenced by climate change. She makes a scientific contribution to the field of distribution modeling, as well as to the study of the protection network’s effectiveness (in the present and future periods).
