Research Associate
Jovana Todorić is a Research Associate at the Geographical Institute “Jovan Cvijić” of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA), within the Department of Social Geography, where she conducts research in the fields of geography.
Her expertise encompasses urban development, with research focusing on housing and residential mobility, particularly housing preferences, as well as consumer activities in urban space, with an emphasis on the spatial patterns of shopping, entertainment, and recreation. In the field of regional research, she studies the Ground Safety Zone, with a particular focus on its political-geographical aspects. In addition to empirical research, her interests include theoretical and methodological issues in geography.
Her research employs both quantitative and qualitative methods, including survey research, statistical and spatial analysis, as well as an interdisciplinary approach to interpreting human–space relationships.
Her most significant scientific contributions are in the fields of intra-urban mobility and urban (consumer) lifestyles, as well as the study of political-geographical processes in the Ground Safety Zone.
